What is the Del Norte Shootout?


The Del Norte Shootout is a summer high school team showcase featuring boys and girls teams competing in a structured, AAU-style tournament format. The event brings together top programs from across the Borderland and surrounding regions for elite competition, exposure, and championship play.

The Del Norte Shootout is open to:

• Boys and Girls high school-aged teams

• Summer teams / AAU-style programs

• High school varsity & JV prep teams

• Programs seeking organized competition and media exposure


Divisions are age-based:

• 14U

• 16U

• 18U


What are  the age cut-off dates?

• 14U -- A participant can not turn 15 before August 31st 2026.

• 16U -- A participant can not turn 17 before August 31st 2026.

• 18U -- A participant can not turn 19 before August 31st 2026 and must be in 12th grade or below.


Is this a school event or a summer team event?

This is a summer team showcase, similar in structure to AAU tournaments.

Teams do not need to represent an official high school, but all athletes must be high school–aged and compete in the appropriate age division.


How does the tournament format work?Each division follows the same format:

How many games is each team guaranteed?

Each registered team is guaranteed a minimum of four (4) games.


Where is the event held?

• Venue:  Single high school gym location

(Exact venue detaila will be released closer to the event.)


When is the Del Norte Shootout?

MONTH:  June 2026


How do teams register?


Teams register using the same registration form used for:

• Southwest Games

• Battle On The Border

During registration, teams simply select "Del Norte Shootout" and choose your division (14U, 16U or 18U)

Registration is available directly from the Register Now button on the Del Norte Shooout event page.


What is the team registration cost?

• Standard Entry:   $350.00 per team

• Early Bird Special:  $250.00 per team (available until May 15, 2026)


What does the team entry fee include?

• Minimum 4-game guarantee

• Certified referees

• Premier facilities

• Organized pool and bracket play

• Championship game opportunity

• Live scoring and bracket updates

• Media coverage and highlights (select games)


Will games be live streamed?

Yes.

Select games will be streamed live on FSEN (Fieldhouse Sports & Entertainment Network).


Will scores and brackets be updated live?

Yes. Teams, parents, and fans will have access to:

• Live scores and standings

• Updated brackets in near real- time

• Schedule updates and results

• Post-game highlights and coverage

All tournament activity is accessible through the Del Norte Shootout Event Hub.


Are spectator passes available?

Yes. Spectator options include:

• Daily passes

• Weekend passes

Pricing starts at $5 per day.


Is there a live streaming pass for fans who can’t attend?

Yes. Fans can purchase a Live Streaming Pass, which provides access to streamed games and select event coverage.


Are refunds available?

All registrations are subject to the event’s Waiver & Policies.

Refund policies will be outlined during registration and are available on the event site.
