Everything you need to know before registering for The Battle On The Border.
GENERAL EVENT QUESTIONS
What is the Battle On The Border?
Battle On The Border is a competitive, age-based middle school basketball showcase featuring boys and girls divisions in 9U, 11U, and 13U. The event brings together top youth teams from across the Borderland for a professionally run tournament experience.
Where and when is the event held?
Location: El Paso, TX
Dates: July 2026
Venue: Tournament-grade indoor facilities (final locations to be announced very soon).
Exact schedules and venue assignments will be released after registration closes.
Who can participate?
Battle On The Border is open to:
• Boys and Girls teams
• Age divisions: 9U, 11U, and 12U Players must meet age elgibility requirements for their division.
What are the age cut-offs?
• 9U -- A participant can not turn 10 before August 31st 2026.
• 11U -- A participant can not turn 12 before August 31st 2026.
• 13U -- A participant can not turn 14 before August 31st 2026.
Divisions & Format
What age divisions are offered?
• 9U Division (Boys and Girls)
• 11U Division (Boys and Girls)
• 13U Division (Boys and Girls)
Divisions are age-based to ensure fair, competitive play.
What is the Tournament format?
• Pool play to determine seeding
• Single-elimination bracket play
• Guaranteed games for every team
• Championship games for each division
Final formats may be adjusted based on registered numbers.
Home many games will each team play?
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 games, including pool play and bracket play.
Registration & Entry
How do teams register?
Teams can register online through the Register Now button on the Battle On The Border event page.
What is the Team registration fee?
• Standard Registration: $350 per team
• Early Bird Special: $250 per team (available until June 1, 2026)
What does team registration include?
• Guaranteed games
• Certified officials
• Organized schedules and brackets
• Championship opportunities
• Professional event operations
Are refunds available?
Refund policies will be outlined during registration. In most cases, refunds are not guaranteed once schedules and divisions are finalized.
Spectators & Streaming
Are spectators allowed?
Yes. Family members and fans are welcomed.
How much are spectator passes?
• Daily passes: Starting at $5 per day
• Weekend passes: Available
Pricing details will be posted closer to the event.
Will games be live streamed?
Select games will be live streamed through FSEN (Fieldhouse Sports & Entertainment Network).
Can I watch scores and brackets live?
Yes. Live scores, pool standings, and brackets will be available through the Battle On The Border Event Hub.

How often are scores and brackets updated?
Scores and brackets are updated near real time as games go final.
